Contract Site Auditor

Job Description

• Walking buildings of all types and sizes to gather information about life safety equipment and internal emergency personnel.
• Neatly transcribing the information gathered to printed floor plans and the WPS questionnaire.
• Some travel to other parts of Eastern Canada may be required.

Skills and Qualifications

• Neat penmanship
• Computer literate
• Knowledge of digital camera operation (owning a digital camera is an asset)
• Able to present a professional face to WPS clients
• Fluency in Canadian French would be an asset

Best suited for

• Retired member of an Emergency Response Service (or an active member on off days)
• Retired Life Safety Equipment Service Technician
• Retired Building Engineer or Operator

Agent Commission Sales

Job Description

• Develop new business in the region (potential clients - real estate owners, property management companies, corporations)
• Maintain and be responsible for current customer accounts
• Prospecting - cold calling, trade/association meetings, trade shows, company generated leads
• Engage in business reviews, sales forecasting activities, meetings and sales/product seminars
• Work with the company to identify opportunities and develop marketing strategies

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years in sales or customer service
• Experience in a related industry - Property or Facility Management, Security, Fire Protection, Emergency Management
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Outstanding skills in building client relationships, highly organized, self-starter, entrepreneurial and a team player
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills
• Ability to travel if necessary

Contract Instructors Required

Who are we looking for?

If you are smart, charismatic, a dynamic instructor, and able to quickly learn the WPS product content and training tools, we definitely want to hear from you. Our ideal candidate might be a retired member of an Emergency Response Service (Fire Department, HUSAR, Emergency Medic). Perhaps you are no longer on active duty due to an injury - we could sure use you.

If you are still currently employed with one of the Emergency Services, we can be flexible with your work schedule, offering you a unique opportunity to supplement your income, and perhaps gradually transition into a new career as a trainer. We are also very interested in hearing from experienced facility or property managers who understand the service cycle within their industry. We will of course train you on WPS' systems.

What you bring to the table:

• A passion for training effective emergency response programs that improve emergency response and disaster response/recovery
• Working knowledge of facility life safety systems (a significant asset)
• Working knowledge of Incident Command Systems (a significant asset)
• Computer literacy required. (Microsoft Outlook, Word, & PowerPoint)

• Have the confidence and the professionalism to represent a best practices product
• Can present high-quality educational seminars to corporate and government clients
• Understand the business cycle and client service
• Feel comfortable in a business suit
