On-site Training

WPS offers a suite of training classes, drills and exercises. Our training is conducted at the customer site and incorporates audiences from all three classifications: Command and Operations, Wardens, and Occupants. WPS employs some of the most professional and experienced trainers in the industry who work closely with customers to ensure their training needs are met.

COMMAND AND OPERATIONS TRAINING typical class duration: 4-6 hours |
| The WPS program incorporates building-specific life safety systems into its training curriculum. Equipment such as generators, fire pumps, elevators, sprinkler systems and evac systems are all taken into consideration during the individual program design. WPS works closely with Command and Operations members to detail how these systems may be impacted by an emergency. Staff members assume very important roles and duties in the wake of an emergency; WPS works extensively with each staff member so they have a clear understanding of their role. Following the classroom training for staff members, a simulated exercise may be conducted to help reaffirm staff knowledge of roles and duties. | |

FLOOR WARDEN TRAINING typical class duration:: 3 hours |
| Class participants receive tangible information regarding their roles and their physical surroundings. Each Floor Warden class may conclude with a drill or a building safety tour. Participants are guided through the building in order to orient themselves to safety devices such as fire extinguishers, pull stations, refuge areas, evacuation routes and assembly areas. | |

BUILDING OCCUPANTS typical class duration:: 2 hours |
| Building Occupants receive training as well. Participants in these classes receive training similar to that of Floor Wardens, however more emphasis is placed on what they can expect from threats that may confront their building. | |
